L2Avalon – Interlude Rework

We introduced a different concept than most servers.
Since 2024, we have been working tirelessly to shape what became known as Avalon Project – a reimagined Lineage II experience. Over time, this work grew into something far more ambitious than just another update.

Through global gameplay changes and the desire to create comfortable conditions for every type of player, Avalon evolved into an alternative vision of Lineage II. A project that will change the way you look at the game.

What is L2Avalon?

L2Avalon is a modern vision of Lineage II, built on the foundation of the classics but adapted to today’s gaming standards.
Every class has its own purpose and remains valuable. The market is alive – every resource and every piece of Adena has real demand. Crafting, often forgotten elsewhere, once again becomes an essential part of progress.

It is the spiritual successor of Lineage II, but also a new product – a logical continuation with a unique direction.

Who is this game for?

  • Have you already explored L2 many times but still want something fresh?
  • Do you keep returning to your old characters but feel the lack of new challenges?
  • Do you want to play any class and still remain in demand?
  • Do you prefer a system where your time is valued and your effort rewarded?

Then Avalon is for you.

This project is made for everyone – newcomers and veterans, casual players and hardcore fans. The balance is designed so that those who spend 24/7 online don’t gain an overwhelming advantage just from hours played. Instead, rotating content and cyclical events ensure there is always something exciting to do every day of the week.

Items & Equipment

Avalon’s equipment system goes beyond basic stats – every item can change the way you play

Armor Sets & Updated Sets

Classic Interlude sets remain, but many are reworked or updated with modern balance in mind. Higher-grade sets introduce unique effects that support long-term progression. Armor set and Updated sets

Weapons & Special Abilities

Several weapon Special Abilities (SA) have been adjusted — forgotten or rarely used weapons are now made viable and attractive, giving players more options when choosing their playstyle. Changed Weapon SA

PvP Armor Bonuses

Armors starting from +6 enchant gain extra PvP defense and, at higher levels, even more special effects. This creates a clear difference between farming gear and true PvP gear.

Masterwork Items

Some items exist in a Masterwork version, offering extra bonuses like additional stats or resistances. They are rare trophies that stand out both in strength and prestige. Masterwork Bonuses

Enchant Effects

Enchanting is more than numbers: Enchant bonuses

  • Key breakpoints (+4, +6, +10) grant special effects.
  • High enchants are both power and status.

Epics & Fake Epics

Epic jewels come in two forms: Epics and Fake Epics

  • True Epics – full power, dropped only from raid bosses.
  • Fake Epics – accessible alternatives with 50% reduced effects, letting everyone experience epic bonuses while keeping the originals valuable.

Zones & Quests

To make gameplay more engaging and dynamic, several zones and quests have been reworked. Instead of static, repetitive tasks, players will experience more progressive challenges that fit each stage of character growth.

  • Zones: Certain farming areas now have unique drops, mechanics, or rotations, encouraging players to explore more than one location.
  • Quests: Rewards and requirements were adjusted to make quests feel like a meaningful part of progression, not just a side activity.
  • Dynamic Stages: As the server evolves, zones and quests scale with the community, ensuring that gameplay stays fresh and competitive.

Primeval Isle

Spoiler

Primeval Isle Shop Dinn: Exchange zone drop items for top A weapon recipes, parts, and materials.

Tyrannosaurs now have 35% chance to level up Soul Crystals (Lv 10–12 one from party, not last hit).

Every mob has a chance to drop Lifestones and special items, which you can trade with Dinn.
He offers 3 types of shops: you can obtain A-grade jewel recipes and parts.
You can acquire TOP A-grade weapon recipes and parts and materials for crafting

Legacy of Insolence

Spoiler

To begin the "Legacy of Insolence" quest, speak to Warehouse Keeper Walderal in the Aden warehouse. He will instruct you to hunt mobs in the Tower of Insolence (TOI) to collect Ancient Papyrus. The Ancient Papyrus now drops from all mobs on floors 3 through 10 with equal probability. You no longer need to focus on specific floors or colors to collect certain recipes.
Target Mobs and Locations :

  • Corrupt Sages (3rd Floor)
  • Erin Ediunces (4th Floor)
  • Hallate's Inspectors (5th Floor)
  • Platinum Tribe Overlords (7th Floor)
  • Messenger Angels (8th Floor)
  • Platinum Guardian Prefects (9th and 10th Floor)
  • Guardian Archangel (11th Floor)

Note: Since the drop rates are now uniform across all floors and colors, you can hunt any of the above mobs to collect the necessary items.[/spoiler]

We decided to keep Lineage true to its original design and bring back the core epic content – where preparation, coordination, and even extra characters are needed to participate.

  • Core & Orfen (Lv. 50) – Respawn every 2 days at 21:00 ±30 min. Chance for Epic Jewel: 70%.
  • Zaken (Lv. 60) – Respawns every 3 days at 21:00 ±30 min. Chance for Epic Jewel: 70%.
  • Frintezza – Respawns every Monday at 21h ±30 min. Chance for Epic Jewel: 100%.
  • Baium – Respawns every Thursday at 22h ±30 min. Chance for Epic Jewel: 100%.
  • Antharas – Respawns every Tuesday at 22h ±30 min. Chance for Epic Jewel: 100%.
  • Valakas – Respawns every Wednesday at 22h ±30 min. Chance for Epic Jewel: 100%.

Fake Epics & Jewel Upgrades

To ensure that every player has a chance to own an Epic Jewel, we’ve added a Fake Epic system:

  • Participate in Mini Epic farms to collect Epic Jewel Fragments.
  • Exchange fragments for Fake Epic Jewels at Artifact Master Kuran.
  • Upgrade Fake Epics into real Epic Jewels with time and effort.
